Opening prayer
Make the Sign of the Cross; present your intention before God and ask Saint Hubert to intercede for you. This nine-day devotion repeats the same historical prayer specifically addressed to Saint Hubert.
Prayer for day 8
Saint Hubert, patron of the Ardennes, who was privileged to see the image of the crucified God between the antlers of a stag, and who received a sacred stole through the ministry of an angel: we implore you to intercede for us, that by God's grace we may be preserved from the dangers of rabies, evil, fevers, lightning, and other misfortunes. Pray for us, O great Saint Hubert, that it may please God to grant us the grace of beholding Him in heaven, where we hope to rejoice with you. Amen.
Saint Hubert, bishop and patron of hunters, pray for us.
Traditional prayers
Our Father
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Glory Be
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
Closing prayer
Saint Hubert, pray for us. Amen.
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
