Opening prayer

Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of thy faithful, and kindle in them the fire of thy love. Send forth thy Spirit, and they shall be created, and thou shalt renew the face of the earth. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee. (Repeat three times.) Offer your intention, and pray the two traditional prayers to Saint Catherine Labouré printed for today.

Prayer for day 9

Prayer to Saint Catherine Labouré O Saint Catherine Labouré, whose filial confidence in the Blessed Virgin obtained for thee the privilege of seeing and speaking with her here on earth, obtain for us a faith like thine in her maternal love. Grant that we may understand and cherish the value of humble silence, and gain grace to show humility in our actions. Teach us to fulfill faithfully the duties of our state, that we may at last enjoy with thee the happiness of beholding the Immaculate Mother of God. Amen. Collect for Saint Catherine Labouré O Lord Jesus Christ, who didst strengthen the virgin Saint Catherine through a wondrous vision of thy Immaculate Mother: grant, we beseech thee, that following the example of her loving devotion, we may so honor thy holy Mother as to gain the joys of eternal life. Who livest and reignest with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

Saint Catherine Labouré, faithful Daughter of Charity, pray for us.

Traditional prayers

Our Father

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be world without end. Amen.
