General Historical Saint Novena — St. Catherine Labouré

Nine-day private devotion using a verified PUBLIC-DOMAIN general preparatory prayer printed by Rev. Bonaventure Hammer, O.F.M., in Mary, Help of Christians and the Fourteen Saints Invoked as Holy Helpers (1909). IMPORTANT EDITORIAL NOTICE: The 1909 prayer was printed for the Holy Helpers. Its use here for St. Catherine Labouré is a modern editorial application of a historical GENERAL saint prayer, NOT a claim that this is a separately attested traditional novena written specifically for this saint. The same authentic general prayer is repeated on all nine days with the invocation of St. Catherine Labouré. This novena is a private nine-day preparation preceding the feast, not an official liturgical requirement.
