Second Sorrow and Joy of St. Joseph: The Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem
Nativity of JesusHoly FamilySeven Sorrows and Joys of St. JosephSt. JosephChristmas
O most blessed Patriarch, glorious St. Joseph, who wast chosen to be the foster-father of the Word made flesh; the pain that thou didst feel at seeing the Child Jesus born in such great poverty was suddenly changed into heavenly exultation when thou didst hear the angelic hymn and behold the glories of that resplendent night. By this sorrow and this joy, we implore thee to obtain for us that, when the journey of our life is ended, we too may pass to hear the angelic songs of praise and to enjoy the splendors of heavenly glory. Amen.
