Prayer for the Poor, the Sorrowful, and the Afflicted
IntercessionPoorAfflictionCompassion
O God of all consolation, Father of mercies, look with pity upon all who are poor, destitute, sick, lonely, or bowed down by sorrow. Comfort their hearts with the assurance of Thy fatherly care, supply their necessities through the charity of Thy faithful, and grant that their temporal trials, borne with Christian patience, may work for them an eternal weight of glory in heaven. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
