Prayer Before Sacramental Confession

Come, Holy Ghost, into my soul, and enlighten my mind, that I may know the sins I ought to confess, and grant me Thy grace to confess them fully, humbly, and with a contrite heart. O merciful God, help me to make a good confession, as if this were to be the last confession of my life. Most Holy Virgin Mary, Refuge of sinners, and thou, my good Angel Guardian, intercede for me, that I may obtain the pardon of all my sins and the grace of true amendment. Amen.
