Prayer Before Reading the Holy Scriptures
Sacred ScriptureHoly SpiritStudyWisdom
O King of Glory, Lord of Hosts, who triumphest in Thy heavenly courts: leave us not orphans, we beseech Thee, but send upon us the Promise of the Father, the Spirit of Truth. We implore Thee, O Lord, that the Paraclete, who proceedeth from Thee, may enlighten our minds and lead us into all truth, as Thy Son hath promised. Amen.
