Collect for the Virtue of Patience

O God, who by the patience of Thine Only-begotten Son hast crushed the pride of the old enemy: grant unto us, we beseech Thee, worthily to call to mind what He lovingly endured for us, and so by His example quietly to bear with all adversities. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
