General Historical Saint Novena — St. Raymond of Peñafort

Nine-day private devotion using a verified PUBLIC-DOMAIN general preparatory prayer printed by Rev. Bonaventure Hammer, O.F.M., in Mary, Help of Christians and the Fourteen Saints Invoked as Holy Helpers (1909). IMPORTANT EDITORIAL NOTICE: The 1909 prayer was printed for the Holy Helpers. Its use here for St. Raymond of Peñafort is a modern editorial application of a historical GENERAL saint prayer, NOT a claim that this is a separately attested traditional novena written specifically for this saint. The same authentic general prayer is repeated on all nine days with the invocation of St. Raymond of Peñafort. This novena is a private nine-day preparation preceding the feast, not an official liturgical requirement.
