Saint Charles Borromeo Novena

A historical novena to Saint Charles Borromeo, Archbishop of Milan and a leader of Catholic reform, from F. X. Lasance’s Prayer-book for Religious (1904). The original novena has four distinct petitions, prayed together on each of nine days. It seeks love of piety, fidelity to one’s vocation, discipline within the Church, perseverance through suffering and a holy death. Pray October 26–November 3 before his November 4 memorial. This source-specific repeated novena is retained rather than artificially rewritten as nine new prayers.
