Miraculous Medal — Traditional General Marian Novena

This nine-day novena prepares for the November 27 commemoration of the apparition of Our Lady to Saint Catherine Labouré and the Miraculous Medal. IMPORTANT: It uses the authentic GENERAL Novena to the Blessed Virgin from Blessed Be God (Charles J. Callan, 1925) repeated for nine days, NOT the later title-specific Central Association of the Miraculous Medal perpetual-novena text. The historical prayer is preserved verbatim, with the traditional medal invocation added as a separate invocation. Suggested feast preparation: November 18–26, 2026.

  • GENERAL MARIAN NOVENA FORM, not the proper CAMM perpetual novena. Rev. Charles J. Callan, Blessed Be God (1925), “Novena to the Blessed Virgin”, text transcribed at https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Blessed_be_God_(Callan)/Novena_For_Christmas ; separately, the Miraculous Medal invocation O Mary conceived without sin is historical (1830). Original nine-day use is an editorial application of the old general novena to a specific Marian title. Cover historical public-domain Library of Congress print (1849), Wikimedia Commons.
