Novena for the Immaculate Conception (Bonaventure Hammer, 1909)

Nine distinct daily historical prayers from Rev. Bonaventure Hammer, O.F.M., Mary, Help of Christians: Novenas in Preparation for the Principal Feasts of the Blessed Virgin (Benziger Brothers, 1909). The prayer proper to each day is reproduced faithfully. The full historical edition also supplies a daily meditation and practical exercise, the Litany of Loreto, a common preparatory prayer and the Prayer of the Church; this reader provides the prayer portions and instructions, not the full printed meditations.
